Introduction

At ToyCAD, your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it when you use the ToyCAD app and related web services ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Service.

If you use ToyCAD without creating an account, your drawings and designs remain stored locally on your device only, and we do not collect any personal data.

1. Information We Collect

When you create a ToyCAD account or use account-linked features, we collect the following:

Email Address: Collected when you register an account. Used for authentication, account management, and activating your subscription across devices.
Password: Managed securely by Google Firebase Authentication. ToyCAD does not store or have access to your plain-text password.
User ID: A unique identifier assigned to your account by Firebase Authentication. Used to link your subscription and account data across devices.
Subscription and Account Data: Your subscription plan, status, and relevant dates are stored in our secure cloud database to enable cross-device access to your premium features.
Community Gallery Content: If you choose to publish a design to the ToyCAD community gallery, the title and description you provide are stored publicly in our database. Published designs are fully anonymized before storage — they are not linked to your account, your User ID, or any other personal identifier. Do not include personal information in the title or description of a published design.

2. How We Use Your Information

To create and manage your ToyCAD account.
To authenticate you and enable cross-device access to your subscription and premium features.
To process and manage your subscription (in cooperation with Stripe for web subscriptions and Apple or Google for in-app purchases).
To display anonymized designs published to the community gallery.
To communicate with you about your account or subscription when necessary.

3. Data Storage and Security

Account and subscription data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), which applies industry-standard encryption and security controls. Access to your data is restricted to your account only — other users cannot read or modify your account data.

Your local drawings and designs remain on your device only, unless you explicitly choose to publish them to the community gallery.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

ToyCAD uses the following third-party services that may process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies:

Google Firebase — Authentication and Firestore database. Firebase Privacy Policy
Stripe — Payment processing for web subscriptions. ToyCAD does not store your payment card details; these are managed exclusively by Stripe. Stripe Privacy Policy
Apple — In-app purchase processing for iOS subscriptions. Apple Privacy Policy
Google Analytics and Meta (Facebook) Pixel — Used on ToyCAD web pages only (not within the app) to measure web marketing performance. These services may collect standard web usage data such as page visits and browser information.

5. Children's Privacy

ToyCAD is designed to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. Accounts and subscriptions must be created and managed by an adult (18 years of age or older). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The account holder is the adult who registers and manages the account on behalf of their family.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

We retain your account and subscription data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting [email protected]. Upon deletion, your account, subscription records, and any published community designs associated with your account will be removed.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of ToyCAD after changes implies acceptance of the updated policy.
